Canadian Large Cent Ring

This beautiful copper ring is made from the Canadian Large Cent. Minted from 1858 to 1920, the coin features a wreath of maple leaves around the outer edge, which is then turned into the outer band of the ring. 

Some people seek out raw copper rings for the joint health benefits, but with raw copper comes the possibility of tarnish left on the skin.  I offer a clear coating on the inside of the ring band to seal the copper and prevent the tarnish on the skin if desired. If the ring is worn enough and the sealant layer wears through, clear nail polish can be reapplied to continue preventing tarnish.
